Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the wild west in an awesome game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that players play with other players. By wagering against the dealer, new players do not need to fret about other, more advanced gamblers taking their moolla.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively leisurely game pace, novices will be able to take their time and plan while not needing to make quick selections.

It is also easier to play for an extended time with just a small amount of money seeing as, to lose, each of your hands needs to be under each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the dealer is dealt seven cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and a two card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
