Poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the bank rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier declares "No more bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different players are given 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantly to the casino. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a figure on par with the original bet. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The dealer pays chips even with your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

• Even for a pair or high card
• two to one for 2 pairs
• three to one for 3 of a kind
• four to one for a straight
• five to one for a flush
• seven to one for a full house
• twenty to one for a four of a kind
• 50-1 for a straight flush
• 100-1 for a royal flush
